Various Methods to Taping

There are various techniques of securing and taping your boxes in preparation for packing, some are more efficient than others. Some relocation specialists use the "H" taping method. This involves taping down the center of the box in between the flaps and then the edges, forming the an "H" shape.

Transporting Your Tools

If you have belongings that use gasoline or oil like your mechanical machines or home improvement tools, keep in mind to drain them prior to having the moving company load the items. This is a critical safety precaution that you need to think about. Hand tools are simply managed; you can just leave them in your tool box. Just make sure to fill the empty spaces with filling material such as bubble wrap to protect your tools from shifting during transportation.

Remember The Extra Packing Tape

Just because you've finished packing your stuff does not mean you will not need additional packing tape. It's not unusual for movers to ask you to tape over one of your boxes because it wasn't properly packed. These are genuine signs of a relocation company that cares about your belongings. A word of caution: just in case you don't have any additional packing tape left over on moving day, your relocation company may charge extra for a pack than a hardware store. It's like buying an instant camera at a national park. Be sure to ask your moving company about all additional fees before you start moving.
