Quick Moving Tips

Packing Your Tools

If you have belongings that use gasoline or oil like your mechanical machines or home improvement tools, keep in mind to drain them prior to having the moving company pack them. This is a fundamental safety measure that you need to consider. Hand tools are simply managed; you can just put them in your tool box. Just remember to load the empty spaces with packing material such as Styrofoam to protect your tools from shifting during the move.

Create A Backup Of Your Files

It's a smart idea that you save and back up the files and folders on your laptop or desktop prior to your move, particularly if you use either for work. Bear in mind, extreme temperatures can damage your data so be certain to pack and secure them in a cool place. It is recommended that you transport these items yourself instead of leaving them to the moving company.

How To Tape

There are various techniques of securing and taping your boxes in preparation for loading, some are more practical than others. Some movers use the "H" taping method. This involves taping down the center of the box in between the flaps and then the edges, creating the an "H" shape.
