Moving Your Firearms

Since the "Brady Bill" legislation in the mid 90's, carriers under contract are allowed to transport weapons for their clients. Naturally, the service obligates potential clients to follow explicit rules. Firearms must be emptied of all ammunition and the particulars of each gun (make, model, and serial number) has to be included in the inventory. Also, movers will not transport your ammunition for you. The client is responsible for that. Post offices often offer a forwarding service for your mail where basically, any mail that is sent to your original address will be forwarded to your new one. However, the forwarding address only runs for a short amount of time, so it's a good idea that you notify everyone who needs to know as soon as possible.
