There are special methods of securing and taping your boxes to prepare for loading, some are more useful than others. Some relocation specialists use the "H" taping method. This involves taping down the middle of the box in between the flaps and then the edges, forming the an "H" shape.

Before your moving company gets to your house, make sure to update them of everything that may obstruct their progress, such as a staircase. Additionally, look into where they can park. If your neighborhood has narrow streets, tell your neighbors in advance when the moving truck will get there so you can all create space for the trailer.
