However, the forwarding address only lasts for a short amount of time, so it's best that you notify everyone who needs to know as soon as you can. Packing Appliances

Unfortunately, moving to a new home also means cleaning your old one. It's best to make a list of all of the different items that need your consideration, like removing the grease from the stove and oven, draining your dishwasher, and disconnecting the washing machine. Keep in mind that you're responsible for making sure your major appliances are turned off. Movers won't do it for you due to insurance and safety reasons, so be sure to have your washing machine, stove, drier and any other appliance you may have prepared for loading before moving day.
