Quick Moving Tips

Loading Your Tools

If you have possessions that run on gasoline or oil like your mechanical machines or home improvement tools, remember to drain them before the movers pack them. This is an important safety measure that you should look into. Hand tools require little management; you can just place those items in your tool box. Just make sure to load up the empty spaces with packing material such as Styrofoam to stop your tools from moving during transportation.

Moving Your Guns

From the inception of the "Brady Bill" in 1994, carriers under contract are permitted to transport firearms for their clients. As expected, the service requires potential customers to follow precise procedures. Weapons must be emptied of all ammunition and the details of every weapon (make, model, and serial number) has to be incorporated into the inventory. Furthermore, relocation experts will not move your ammunition for you. The client is held accountable for that. It's always a wise plan to get informed with local state legislation on the policies and regulations that concern weapon security.

Cleaning Appliances

Unfortunately, relocating to a new area also means tidying up your old one. It's best to list out all of the various items that need your consideration, like removing the grease from the stove and oven, draining your dishwasher, and disconnecting the washing machine. Keep in mind that you're responsible for the disconnection of your major appliances. Movers won't do it for you due to insurance and safety reasons, so be sure to have your fridge, dishwasher, and any other appliance you may have prepared for loading before beginning to move.
